WEEK 8

FISH PLAYGROUND

This week in class we were introduced to the servo motor and light sensitive resistor in our arduino kits, and, once set up, we were able to code the arduino so that whenever the light sensitive resistor noticed a lack of light, the servo motor would move at a 90 degree angle.

We had to make some adjustments to the code in arduino to make the amount of light needed to move the servo motor higher, as the room was quite bright. In the end, we had created a servo motor that moved whenever we used our hands to cover the sensor, designed for moving water around in a fishtank.

WEEK 8

LED MATRIX

For the second half of the tutorial we set out to complete the ambitious task of using the LED Matrix. After plugging in the most cables we have used so far, making sure our code was correct and clicking run, we quickly realised something was wrong as our LED matrix was showing the Norwegian flag (which greatly enthused Hanne Sofie) and not the heart it was meant to be showing.

WEEK 8

HUNT AND GATHER: SERVO MOTOR HEART BY BLAZE_AUTOMATION

For this weeks hunt and gather I found a servo motor powered paper craft that makes a cute heart when a button is pressed!
